Objective
The Regional Manager (RM), Caribbean, reporting to the Regional Director (RD), is responsible for leading tactical and strategic student recruitment activities across the Caribbean.
The RM is accountable for achieving recruitment targets for the SGU Doctor of Medicine program on campuses in Grenada, and the UK.
This role is accountable for meeting recruitment targets within agreed budgets, strengthening SGU’s market presence, and providing critical market intelligence to shape institutional initiatives and long-term recruitment strategy.
Essential Functions
Recruitment & Market Development
+ Champion SGU’s recruitment efforts in designated Caribbean markets, across agent, affiliate, and direct channels.
+ Achieve annual recruitment targets while ensuring efficient use of resources and the lowest possible cost of acquisition.
+ Grow SGU’s network of active agents, feeder schools, and program partners in the region.
+ Conduct regular training for agents, affiliates, and school counselors to ensure accurate representation of SGU programs.
Relationship Management
+ Maintain and expand strong relationships with agents, feeder schools, affiliates, and new institutional partners.
+ Provide professional counseling and advice to prospective students, parents, schools, and agents.
+ Represent SGU at exhibitions, school visits, and recruitment fairs, delivering clear and compelling presentations.
+ Develop key account plans with partners, understanding their needs and aligning SGU’s recruitment objectives.
Student Engagement & Admissions Support
+ Manage the initial application process for students from designated markets, ensuring smooth handover to Admissions.
+ Conduct proactive outreach, including follow-up calls with existing leads and outreach to new leads, with accurate reporting in Salesforce CRM.
+ Support applicants and families through the admissions pipeline, ensuring a positive experience from inquiry to enrollment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Work closely with the recruitment team to optimize applicant management and contribute to regional enrollment goals.
+ Partner with SGU’s International Marketing Team to design and deliver regional marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
+ Collaborate with Regional Managers globally to ensure consistent agent and affiliate management across markets.
+ Build relationships with SGU departments (Admissions, Operations, Marketing, and Academics) to ensure high levels of service, efficiency, and resolution of student issues.
Market Knowledge & Reporting
+ Monitor regional developments, education systems, and regulatory changes, providing timely updates to SGU leadership.
+ Supply regular market intelligence and performance updates, including accurate forecasts and KPI reporting.
+ Stay current with local medical association requirements and government regulations relevant to SGU students.
+ Conduct market research and provide insights to guide SGU’s recruitment strategy in the Caribbean.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Background in student recruitment, admissions, or international education.
+ Demonstrated sales and commercial skills with proven ability to deliver against targets.
+ Knowledge of agent-based and international school recruitment channels.
+ Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
+ Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships.
+ Excellent presentation, communication, and counseling skills.
+ Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
+ Professional demeanor with results-oriented, target-driven mindset.
+ Proven track record of recruitment success within the region.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ 3–5 years of professional experience in international education and recruitment.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
+ Position is home-based in designated Caribbean territory.
+ Work is carried out in a collaborative, professional, and student-focused environment.
Hours and Travel
+ Extensive travel required across designated territories.
+ Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during peak recruitment periods.

+ Achievement of annual recruitment targets.
+ Delivery of agreed annual goals.
+ Application generation and conversion rates.
+ Effective collaboration with recruitment team and cross-functional colleagues to achieve SGU’s broader enrollment objectives.
